History
Joseph A. Dennis founded Interstate Rentals,
Inc. in 1953. Initially, the first rental store was a
converted ice-cream parlor consisting of a small 1000 square foot
building. As the business experienced growth and success, other
adjoining properties were purchased and new facilities were built.
Between 1953 and 1983 the business mainly consisted of renting
general equipment to homeowners and contractors.
In 1983 the Special
Events division was established. Throughout the following years
inventory has been expanded extensively. Professional expertise and
an array of experience in the industry have also been acquired. In
1993 a canopy company was purchased allowing the Special Events
division the capability of supplying canopies and tents for various
events. In 1996 Special Events took over the current 22,000 square
foot facility with one of the Northwest's largest inventories in
canopies, flooring and other Special Event inventory.
As the Special
Event division accelerated, the scope of the business has also
expanded. Interstate Special Events has a friendly and professional
staff with a broad proven background of expertise. The Special
Events division now has the capability of handling the details for
all varieties of social gatherings, supplying quality rental
equipment and accessories for most any event from corporate
gatherings to elaborate festive occasions. Our experience in many of
the following types of occasions ensures our customer's complete
satisfaction"
